Movements
The Sacred Movements are a physical discipline introduced to the West by the philosopher/mystic George Gurdjieff at the beginning of the last century. They are one of the most complete and sophisticated examples of meditation through movement. By harmonizing the different parts of our being-emotion, intellect and body-the possibility of reaching a state of presence akin to that obtained in other types of meditations opens up. The movements are practiced by students weekly in the Mexico City and New York City centers of the Academy.
