Christ in the Storm on the Sea of Galilee
- Rembrandt (1633)

When the captain of a ship sets sail, he has to make numerous adjustments for the buffeting of the waves and winds. Just like us with the machine. Imagine if a captain started kicking the hull of the ship because it was off course? All he has to do is adjust and fix the course, and the more he does it the better.
So don't kick the ship. Don't blame the wind and the sea. Set sail and steer as best you can the ship you happen to be sailing in right now. It's the only one you're going to get. The Gods and I will help you sail home like all those Greek heros. Yes, there will be dangers and nymphs and mermaids and storms trying to stop us. But we have reasonable ships, good charts from our predecessors and good knowledge.
Let us hope for a fair wind. . .
